Google Maps Now Lets You Create Lists of Places

The Google Maps app is getting a new feature that should come up in handy the next time you're planning a trip or giving recommendations to a friend.

Starting today, y'all can create lists of places and share them with others. You can also follow the lists your friends and family share with you. The feature is available on the Google Maps app for iOS and Android.

To try it out, just open the Google Maps app and find a spot you desire to save. Tap the name of the place, then click the "Save" icon to add information technology to one of several pre-set lists similar "Want to Go" or "Favorites" or a new list you lot name yourself.

To view all your lists, merely go to Your Places in the side menu then open the saved tab. Icons for places you've saved volition announced on the map itself.

"With the millions of landmarks, businesses and other points of interest in Google Maps, there'southward no shortage of places to attempt," Maier wrote. "Now that we've got the world mapped, it'southward your plow to map your world with lists—from local hotspots to bucket listing destinations worlds away."
